About the Client

Mindspace is a boutique creative agency founded in Arizona by Brent Shetler in 2001. For decades, Mindspace has specialized in advertising, gamification, custom training experiences and employee engagement.

Project Background

Disca has partnered with Mindspace on several projects over the years. In the initial engagement, the client was Google and the task was to deliver global product training to tens of thousands of Google partners and affiliates. A more recent project, completed on behalf of Starbucks, was to create a unique digital experience that was compatible with the standard xAPI format of the client’s learning management system.

The Challenge

Clients like Google and Starbucks don’t have to settle for any old vendor. They select partners based on their proven achievements and unique ability to deliver. For Google, they required a custom training experience (with custom xAPI content) translated into 13 different languages. Their skills assessments were complex, and each datapoint created by a user needed to be normalized, aggregated and reported. At Starbucks, the delivery of beautiful custom content across different form factors needed to be facilitated by their in-place LMS, yet tracked and reported uniquely.
